QUANTUM-OPTICAL TECHNOLOGY

The Quantum-Optical technology has a minimum sustained write speed of 6 gigabytes (GB) per second and a read speed of 8GB per second.

NvIOpRAM chip or module has only a few pinouts (Power, Ground and Read/Write enable) and optical input/output for the laser beam.  (Unfortunately, regular electronic semiconductor technologies do not allow to greatly decrease the size of chip and at the same time increase the density of information, since it is correlated to the problem of placing pinouts on a chip.  A large amount of pinouts limits the speed).  This memory does not have any moving mechanical parts. Complete lack of mechanical parts combined with ultra-high density, ultra-high speed and extremely compact size distinguish this memory from all existing memories.

The density of information of this memory is 1GB/square millimeter having the
thickness of the recording media(array) of 10 microns. 60GB of non-volatile RAM
are contained in one cubic millimeter. Also, this Quantum–Optical technology
allows to build up to 256GB in one package / or module up to 35TB.
